Iran, Korea and Sidereal Saturn’s Entry in Virgo

August 16, 2008 · Filed under: Political

According to Vedic Astrology, Sidereal Saturn (Shani) enters Virgo on September 9th 2009. Judging from past history, we expect major events to unfold during these dates next year. Last two times Saturn entered in Virgo, there was major turmoil in US-Korea and US-Iran relationships respectively.

In the third week of September 1950, when Sidereal Saturn entered Virgo, General Douglas MacArthur of the U.S. Army orchestrated an amphibious landing at Incheon, near Seoul in Korea, to relieve United Nations forces cornered on the southeastern tip of the harbor. Forty-three U.S warplanes dropped 93 napalm tanks on the the eastern end of Wolmi Island, allegedly hitting enemy troops and civilians alike.

In the first week of November 1979, when Sidereal Saturn entered Virgo next time, the Iran hostage crisis took place in which 52 U.S. diplomats were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981 after a group of students took over the American embassy in support of Iran’s revolution.

These major events have involved USA, as Virgo is the sign in which natal Saturn is posited in Vedic horoscope of USA. Vedic Astrology, thus provides a clear understanding of the planetary basis of complex world events.

Iraq and Afghanistan War Veterans, Literature Classics and Vedic Astrology

August 16, 2008 · Filed under: Political

The nature of war and its effect on active participants has always remained the same despite changes in technology; be it Trojan war, Mahabharata or Iraq war.

“There is nothing more troubling than to discover an evil crime of which one is the culprit”. This is what Tecmessa says to Ajax in a Greek tragedy by Sophocles enacted as part Marine Corps Combat Operational Stress Control Conference recently to help recover Marines from post-traumatic stress disorders after serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. This statement is “corpsmen’s burden: how to forgive himself”, as a conference panelist pointed out, reminding of a navy corpsman tortured by the fact that he killed Iraqis in ways outside the rules of engagement.

The major issues facing a combatant in any war, the combat stress, the inner conflicts and the loss of one’s own self, has always persisted without resolution. In addition to reflections on ancient classics, Vedic astrology can be very effective in helping combatants develop a better understanding of their role, resolve inner conflicts and reduce stress levels. A study of individual horoscopes can be very revealing to war veterans.

Sade Sati of Shani (Saturn) in Vedic Astrology

August 15, 2008 · Filed under: indian astrology

Sade Sati of Shani is the seven and half years of transit of Saturn or Shani over a person’s natal moon ( Janma Rasi) in Vedic astrology. The period of Sade Sati starts when Saturn arrives in the sign that is in the 12th house from the natal moon (that is, just previous to the Janma Rasi) and ends when Saturn exits from the sign that is 2nd house from the moon sign. Since Saturn takes approximately two and half years to transit a sign, the transit through three signs takes about 7.5 years and is referred to as Sade Sati in Indian Astrology. This phase of 7.5 years repeats approximately every 30 years and thus, is experienced a maximum of about three times in a lifetime. Currently, those with Cancer, Leo and Virgo Janma Rasi are experiencing the Shani Sade Sati in the last, middle and first phase respectively till September 2009.

A negative image of fear and pain is often incorrectly associated with Shani Sade Sati by many of the unfaithful practitioners of Vedic Astrology. While it is true that this period is unsettling in human life, the spiritual uplift associated with this period can hardly be overemphasized. This is a period of tremendous learning and advancement.

Saturn is the guru who teaches us the realities of our earthly existence. Obstacles, delays, failures, frustrations, displacement, loneliness teach us to look beneath the glamor, reputation, achievement, wealth and social connections. Saturn walks us through these educating experiences and leads us to where we belong and what we deserve according to our action or Karma. The period of Sade Sati (also spelt sometimes as Sade Shati) is an educating experience advancing us to the next higher level of consciousness.

It is important for us to be aware of these periods like Shani Sade Sati in our lives from our individual horoscopes. This is one of the unique contributions of Vedic or Indian astrology and helps us taking right decisions being aware of our environment and conditions.

Horoscope of a Business Corporation – Indian Astrology

August 12, 2008 · Filed under: Business

A corporation or a business organization is treated as an individual in Indian astrology. Just as twelve houses of a horoscope are used to forecast various aspects of human life, the same approach is applied for corporations in Vedic astrology.

Based on our extensive experience, we outline broadly the various daily management aspects of a corporation that can be analyzed from the twelve houses of the corporation horoscope. The lagna represents the corporation, its owner or the stockholders. From this first house the nature of the enterprise and its leadership can be judged. The company resources and finances can be analyzed by the second house. The third house represents advertising, its neighboring environment and correspondence and public relations. Real estate, vehicles and other similar assets can be judged from the fourth house. The fifth house represents the speculative investments of the company in addition to educational activities. The employees and their abilitie, labor unions and legal issues are decided by the sixth house. Merger and acquisitions, partnerships and public image is decided by the seventh house. The eighth house decides bankruptcy, treasurer, bad reputation and demise. The ninth house is used to predict inventions and patents, long range planning, mission and vision of the corporation. The top management as well as the coporation’s leadership in its field of expertise is analyzed by the tenth house. The eleventh house determines the revenue, business friends while the twelfth house indicates the secret enmical activities and investments abroad.

Our experience at Decisioncare show that a detailed analysis of the horoscope of a corporation using Indian astrology with transits and dasa/mahadasa minimizes risks in decision taking. We believe that all corporations should regularly utilize vedic astrology based analysis as part of their management decision making.
