Magh Purnima Super Moon 2010

Magh Purnima (Magha Poornima) falls on full moon of January 30th 2010 on a Super Moon Day. It is also Thaipusam (Thaipooyam, Thaipoosam) in India, Malaysia, Mahayana Buddhist New Year Day, and Baneshwar Fair held at the confluence of Mahi, Som and Jhakham Rivers in Banswara in Rajasthan. Tribals and other communities from Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat pay homage on this day to the dead ancestors and relatives. It is also Super Moon day this year in 2010.
Super Moon is Moon at its perigee point, when it is nearest to the Earth. The Moon will appear larger than normal.  The Super moon conjuncts retrograde (Vakri) Mars (Mangala, Kuja) which is debilitated (Neecha) and Sun which is in opposition to this conjunction point is conjunct with Venus.
